Jasmine Meadows
The Premise
Jasmine Bancroft is a single, young ambitious woman in her mid twenties. She has bright red hair, green eyes and fair skin. She recently completed her MBA from Harvard. She just landed a prestigious job in New York City with one of the richest families in Manhattan as a personal financial advisor. She had her entire life ahead of her, which is when her entire life came crashing down.
Jasmine received word that her parents had died while traveling abroad in Switzerland. Jasmine had grown up seeing the world with them. Her parents seemed to have a never-ending supply of money, and they were always on the move. Jasmine had always longed for a more settled life because of this. Little did she expect their deaths to give her what she always longed for.
At the reading of the will the only other person present was Miss Delilah Appletree, the au pair who traveled with the family and helped raise and tutor Jasmine. As far as Jasmine knew, she had no other living relatives. She knew of no grandparents, uncles, aunts or cousins. After Jasmine was grown, Miss Appletree was always well taken care of by the family, but in their death the Bancrofts generously rewarded for her years of service. Jasmine simply expected to inherit stocks and bonds, the presumed source of her parent’s wealth. She was stunned to inherit a family home she had never seen nor heard of in a town called Meadowood Springs. The sprawling manner house spanned several acres, including a stable of thoroughbred horses. Why had she never been told of this? Where did her family come from? What was their history?
As she settles in, Jasmine decides to open the estate, which is far too big for herself alone, as a B&B and capitalize on the town's tourist industry. She also begins to search through the manor for answers ….
